Email list validation is a Bloomreach Engagement setup that passes each new address to Mailgun's validation API before it enters a mailing program. Mailgun checks syntax, provider-specific rules, typos such as `.vom` and spambot patterns. The result is one of four values: `Deliverable`, `Undeliverable`, `Do not contact` or `Unknown`. A scenario that listens for subscribe events, or runs weekly, writes it to the customer profile. Deliverable addresses go straight to the welcome flow. Undeliverable and do-not-contact addresses are never added. Unknown ones are sent through double opt-in. In practice
