Batch Webhook (Bloomreach Engagement)

A batch webhook is a Bloomreach Engagement webhook mode that bundles up to 1,000 customers into one HTTP request instead of sending one request per customer. High-volume campaigns need it when the receiving API accepts bulk operations.

Also known as

webhook batching; batch webhook settings

Turning on Batch webhook splits the editor in two: a Root template for the whole request and a Customer template rendered per customer as a string, joined with helpers such as {{ customers | join(",") }}. You can set the batch size from 1 to 1,000, but it isn't guaranteed; the platform may send smaller batches. Heavy personalization in the customer template can push a batch past the timeout, so Bloomreach recommends keeping batches small.

In practice

Before batching, confirm the receiving API returns a result per item, not one status for the whole batch. Otherwise a single bad record can fail 1,000 customers with no way to tell which one.
