BIO
Enterprise CDP projects rarely fail on technology. They fail in the room: between the CMO’s roadmap, the CDO’s data model, and the IT team’s integration queue. Jan has spent his career in that room.
Jan started his consultancy career at Exponea (now Bloomreach) as a customer analytics consultant and value delivery manager for enterprise clients in banking, telecoms, and travel. Over three years, he led customer data platform implementations end-to-end: solution design with business stakeholders, integration planning with IT, segmentation and lifecycle campaign design, and roadmap negotiation with CMOs and CDOs. That is where he learned how CDP projects succeed inside large organizations: the stakeholder work, the data modeling, the commercial case.
He then spent five years as CEO of Digiline, Slovakia’s largest digital media buying agency. Under his leadership revenue grew from 5.84M to 13.61M EUR, and the team scaled to 30 people serving 90 clients. Running the agency meant sitting on both sides of the marketing-technology table: defending budgets to boards, explaining attribution to CFOs, and shipping campaigns that had to perform across paid, owned, and CRM channels.
Before his digital career, he organized a world championship in canoe slalom and directed the Slovak Pavilion at Expo Milano 2015. Two projects with fixed public deadlines and substantial public budgets. He has led teams, organizations, and budgets in environments where failure is visible.
At Asteroad, Jan focuses on strategy, commercial work, and the translation layer between marketing stakeholders and the Bloomreach platform, turning “what the business wants” into scoped, shippable CDP work. For the last two years, that has been daily hands-on work: Bloomreach Engagement delivery, CDP design, customer segmentation, and marketing automation across live European client accounts.
