An aggregate in Bloomreach Engagement is a computed customer attribute derived from a customer’s events by one aggregation function, such as total number of orders, lifetime spend, or the date of the last purchase.

aggregate attribute
Aggregates turn raw event history into usable values a segment or campaign can reference. They are defined in the Data manager and computed from the customer’s event history when evaluated, which makes them the practical bridge between event data and segmentation. For transformed values, like days since last purchase, an aggregate supplies the input and an expression does the arithmetic.
In practice
Build the aggregates your segments and personalization actually need, and keep each one doing a single, well-named job. A campaign reading the wrong aggregate targets on the wrong behavior, so check what events and function feed a value before you rely on it.
