Exponea is the former name of [Bloomreach Engagement](/platforms/bloomreach). It was a Slovak-founded customer data platform and marketing automation product (originally launched as Infinario) that took the Exponea name in 2016 and was acquired by Bloomreach in January 2021. The product lives on as Bloomreach Engagement, and the old name still shows up in live implementations: the `api.exponea.com` tracking endpoint, `__exponea` cookie names, and `exponea.start()` snippets all predate the rebrand and keep working.

In practice
If an audit or codebase still shows Exponea branding, such as an api.exponea.com endpoint, __exponea cookies, or exponea.start() calls, it isn’t legacy or unsupported. It is Bloomreach Engagement under the old name, and those legacy names still work, so you can migrate the naming on your own schedule rather than treating it as technical debt to rip out.
