A single customer view (SCV) is one unified profile per customer, replacing the scattered records the same person leaves across systems.

Also known as
SCV; single customer view
Same idea as a customer 360, framed around de-duplication: many fragments resolved to one person. It is the direct output of identity resolution in a CDP, and it is never truly complete, only as complete as identity resolution, data quality, and consent allow.
In practice
If reports count more customers than you believe you have, you do not have a single customer view yet; you have duplicates that identity resolution has not collapsed.
