MIGRATION. KLAVIYO TO BLOOMREACH

Outgrowing Klaviyo’s email-first model?

Klaviyo is excellent at what it’s built for: fast email and SMS for e-commerce, often on Shopify. The move to Bloomreach usually starts when the team needs more than that: deeper customer profiles, real cross-channel orchestration, stronger identity resolution, and a data and consent model that holds up as you scale. We plan the migration so your history and deliverability come with you, and the new setup is built for where you’re going, not where you’ve been.

WHY TEAMS MAKE THE MOVE

When email-first stops being enough.

Segments built mostly on email behavior can’t see the whole customer. Cross-channel journeys across web, app, push, and SMS need one profile, not several. Personalization wants richer attributes than the flows currently hold. And identity and consent need to be first-class, not bolted on. None of this is a knock on Klaviyo. It’s the point where an e-commerce brand graduates from email-first lifecycle to a full customer data platform.

WHAT CARRIES OVER

Properties, consent, and deliverability, all planned.

Customer properties and profiles, exported and mapped into Bloomreach. Consent, migrated so nobody who opted out gets contacted. Email sending, moved with a staged warm-up so deliverability holds. Flows, redesigned around a richer profile rather than copied.

THE KLAVIYO-SPECIFIC RISKS

What doesn’t survive a copy-paste move.

Thin profiles ported as-is just recreate the old ceiling; we model the richer profile as part of the move. Flows copied, not redesigned, waste the upgrade, since the point of moving is to run journeys Klaviyo couldn’t. Consent and identity treated as an afterthought undermines a CDP; we set them up front. Deliverability on new infrastructure is planned, with parallel sending until the numbers hold.

HOW WE MIGRATE

Audit, design, migrate, rebuild, cut over.

Audit the source, design the Bloomreach target, migrate and validate the data, rebuild flows in priority order in parallel, then warm up and cut over on the numbers. Full method on the migration hub. Typically 8 to 16 weeks depending on volume and flow count. Fixed scope, fixed price, agreed before we start.
